Busy, busy days

So much has been going on this week, life has been super crazy. I think the most important thing this week is that my first born has weaned. WOW! It is definitely bittersweet……..I mean I never gave much thought to breastfeeding when I was pregnant. I was glad to make it 3 weeks let along 3 years. I will say it has been the most amazing experience and I’m so glad that I had that relationship with him. He still loves to talk about it. He tells me ” I like your nursies” or “mommas milk is the best.” I hope he remembers nursing as he get’s older.

We broke ground on our garden last week. This will be my first “real” garden. My dad is helping me with it and that means so much to me. I remember when I was younger helping my dad and my great grandmother in the garden. It’s times like this that I really miss my great grandmother and wish I would have taken the time to learn more from her. We start planting tomorrow and I’m so excited. I hope I can keep Carson and Lucky, our lab under control. Carson thinks it’s his own personal dirt pit. He is such a boy! I’ll post some pics after we finish tomorrow.

Another exciting thing for me is that we found a church. I have been in spiritual crisis for a while. I have felt God pulling me and I just kept ignoring him. I was invited to Inverness Vineyard church by a friend and I loved it. I’ve never felt so welcomed and comfortable as I do there. You can feel God in that place and it’s just amazing. I signed up for “50 days with Jesus” and it’s so good to be reading the bible again and studying the word.

Let’s try this again………………

Here’s the low down of what has happened since my last update…….

1. Camron Thomas was born on December 14, 2009 at home.
2. We now have a 6 month old yellow lab, named Lucky.
3. We had a young golden retriever, named Ecko. We had to find him a loving him because of his aggression 😦 We even hired an animal behaviorist and did obedience training with him but he did not like his personal space invaded . I miss him very much.

That’s all I can think of at the moment. I’m sure I’ll add to the list since my last post was almost a year ago 😦

For my friend, Jenn :)

So, I was informed last night that I needed to be updating this blog. I went out to eat with some friends for some much needed mommy alone time. However, when I got home at 10pm Carson was wide awake and nowhere near ready for bed. We finally laid down around 11 and he was out quickly.
It’s a busy day in the Pyper house. Brandon’s birthday was Thursday and we are having his birthday party today. We have family in town and it’s been good seeing everyone. His Dad and stepmom, brother and his wife and 2 kids are all here. We are going swimming at my Aunt’s house and grilling out.
We are finally moved into our house. We closed on May 28th and moved in that day. It’s been sooo busy! We are finally getting settled in but there is still so many things to do. Brandon has worked so hard on making sure me and Carson have a nice home and yard to spend our days. He really is the best husband and father EVER.
The pregnancy is going well. I am about 16 weeks along and finally feeling much better. I’ve just started feeling the baby moving and I forgot how wonderful that is. We’ve decided to have this baby at home and I am soooo excited about that. I have a wonderful midwife that I’ve been seeing and I’m so glad I found her.
Well, I know there is more to talk about but we are leaving in a few minutes so I’ll end this for now.

New house

Well, we are about 4 or 5 weeks out from closing. I can’t believe it’s almost finished. We are sooooo very excited! These last few weeks have been a little stressful with wondering how it’s all going to come together, picking out some new furniture and trying to decide on last minute things we need. I’ve been so tired these first weeks of pregnancy. I’m glad we’ve decided to hire a moving company because I really don’t feel up to moving. I’ve really decided to just not worry about it. It WILL come together and everything will be fine.

Busy weekend

Brandon left for California on Thursday so Carson and I have been on our own. I really hated to see him go because I’ve been having a rough couple of days. Well, yesterday we went out to lunch at the Olive garden with some friends and then went to the bookstore to talk and let the kids play. It was fun and I needed to visit with friends. Today Carson has his first birthday party to attend. We went and bought a spiderman toy and had fun trying to wrap it together. Brandon will be home tomorrow and I can’t wait. I hate it when he goes out of town, I feel lost.

Keeping up

Well, as you can see I suck at keeping up with this blog. I really am going to try to do better so we’ll see if it happens. Carson woke up at 4:30 this morning 😦 I refused to get up so I made him lay in bed til he fell back asleep around 6. I have no idea how to get him to sleep longer. We’ve tried going to bed at different times and nothing makes a difference. I’m trying to wean him from that early a.m. nursing to see if that makes helps. He is getting so big. I looked at him this morning and he just seems so grown-up; Where did my little baby go?

Brandon went to Reno, NV last weekend for his first ABA national race in a long time. He ended up 4th and was sooooo excited. He’s decided to go to Oklahoma next weekend and race. I’m really glad he’s getting back into racing, he really loves it. He’s had several surgeries over the years that has kept him from riding as much as he would like but he’s feeling really good now.

Christmas

I totally missed posting on Christmas day. We had such a wonderful day, minus the waking up at 4:58 am. Carson is cutting his last 2 bottom teeth so he has been restless the last few days. We woke up and came in the living him, where the tree and presents were. He said “WOW” and just looked at the presents and then looked at me. I was really surprised he did not try to get in them. My parents and my brother were coming over so we decided to wait on them before opening presents. They arrived around 9 and Brandon cooked us a wonderful breakfast and we opened presents.
One of my worries with Carson is over indulging him. We said we wouldn’t buy alot but of course we did. I just hope we can spoil him while teaching him to appreciate what he has. I want him to know that he is blessed to have the things he does and cherish them.
Carsons biggest gift was the train table and train set. We waited until the afternoon to put the train set together because he was overwhelmed and tired. He LOVES it! I learned quickly that I will have to do something to hold the track together because he’s taken it apart several times. He also got a basketball goal and ball, a blanket from grandmother, cars, clothes and several books. It was a great day. Brandon and I couldn’t help but dream about Christmas next year. We will be in our house and I plan on going all out with the decorating.
We will be leaving Monday for Tom and Debbies house. I always love going down there. Chelsea and Aydan will be flying in on Tuesday and it should be fun. She has never seen Carson and we’ve never seen Aydan. I can’t wait for the boys to meet and play together.
Well, I’m going to pop some pop corn and relax a bit before bed. I don’t want to write anything yet but I’m hoping I have some good news to share after the first of the year.

One of those days…..

Well, it’s been rainy all day. I decided to stay in and get some much needed cleaning done. Carson decided to help me vacuum. He would cry every time I cut the vacuum off so he ended up playing with it for about 30 minutes. We also took a really long bubble bath. He is so much fun to be with. I can really tell that I am going to have my hands full with him. It’s fun watching the world through him. He’s so curious and daring. Oh Well, never a dull moment.
